Further to the decisions at the first meeting of the Intersessional Process on SAICM and the sound management of chemicals and waste beyond 2020, all SAICM stakeholders are invited to submit their input and suggestions to the Intersessional Process considering the Strategic Approach and the Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste Beyond 2020.
In providing input to the Intersessional Process, stakeholders are encouraged to provide their views on SAICM and the sound management of chemicals and waste beyond 2020.
Input is encouraged from all stakeholder groups and across sectors. Based on the inputs received, a further elaborated document will be prepared under the guidance of the Co-Chairs of the Intersessional Process to support the preparations for and inform discussions at the Second Meeting of the Intersessional Process, which is scheduled to take place in March 2018.
All SAICM stakeholders will have opportunities, on multiple occasions, to provide input through an open, transparent and online consultative process.
The first deadline for input was 7 July 2017. The secretariat has received the comments on the co-chair's paper and they can be found here
Input received is being taken into account in preparation for the second meeting of the intersessional process.
