SAICM publications

Guidance materials:

According to paragraph 28 (d) of the Overarching Policy Strategy, the SAICM secretariat is to facilitate the development and dissemination of guidance materials to support implementation of the Strategic Approach by stakeholders.

The SAICM secretariat and UNITAR in collaboration with the participating organizations of the Inter-Organization Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals have developed guidance to facilitate the development of SAICM implementation plans as foreseen in paragraph 22 of the Overarching Policy Strategy.

At its second session, the Conference took note of the guidance document introduced to the session as document SAICM/ICCM.2/INF/31 and called for its further development by the secretariat and UNITAR in consultation with other stakeholders.
